Connect Oregon
ConnectOregon is the first major funding initiative targeted at multimodal or non-highway transportation in Oregon. This effort will help to make critical connections with other modes of transportation, leveraging the significant investments in the highway network, and the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program. ConnectOregon will attract and sustain business and jobs in Oregon, and ensure Oregon is connected to world markets.
The Port of Umatilla Upland Distribution Center is a combination of rail, barge and land improvements strategically designed to centralize and streamline the safe and efficient movement of intermodal freight containers originating from and traveling through eastern Oregon. The Project has four primary components to be completed simultaneously.
1. Upland Distribution Center – Container Yard Upgrades
2. Upland Distribution Center – Storage Building
- 100’ x 200’ building construction with concrete floor
- Asphalt paving for food security requirements
3. Upland Distribution Center – Security and Logistics Management
